You would put in
mail.yourdomainname.com
for INCOMING SMTP server,
OUTGOING SMTP should always be your ISP's SMTP unless you are unable to use yourISP's SMTP then you would change it to mail.yourdomainname.com.

2. How can I setup something so that I can read my email from a web browser when I am away from home ? - Top

You can download and read your email anywhere in the world by going through your webmail at http://yourdomainanname/webmail.

3. Can I ask people in my company to open their own mailboxs under my domain name? Or I have to open mailboxs for them from control panel myself -- how are they going to change their password? - Top

You have to open and administrate all POP email on your account. Then, they can login to their webmail and change the passwords.

Setting up Mail With Claris:

1. After loading Claris, choose Setup --> Internet Setup

2. You probably do not need to change the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server. The SMTP server should be the server of your local access provider.

3. Virtual Domain Customers should enter their domain name for 'Account Name'.

4. Put your username and domain name in the Email Account box.

9. Can I e-mail someone that I don't know ? - Top

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
If you email to a list, and you get SPAM COMPLAINTS, you WILL BE FINED and shut down. PERIOD.
You need to read our policy at:

13. Can I send E-Mail to "targeted" Mailing Lists? - Top

You can, as long as you don't get ANY SPAM complaints.
BE VERY carefull when buying/renting mailing lists... as MOST of the people selling these are JUST SPAMMERS in "OPT IN" clothing.
If you email to a list, and you get SPAM COMPLAINTS, you WILL BE FINED and shut down. PERIOD.

14. I am trying to send e-mail and I keep getting the error "Mail Relaying Denied"... what do I do ? - Top

In order to allow you TO SEND MAIL from your domain, you need to Authenticate by logging into your POP server first.

This will solve this problem :)

Please read the reasons as to why we do not have "open-relay" below.

The recent problem concerning SMTP is a actually a feature that our servers have and is not meant as a hindrance to your or your business. Let me explain how this feature works and will benefit you and then we can work out the details to help you use this feature. This feature is to protect you and the rest of our clients from SPAM and from being blocked or labeled as a SPAM-relay. Certain "blackhole" companies like ORBS have put together a database of Hosting companies and servers that have an open Mail-Relay. ORBS will go to each IP address on a server and if they can send mail through your server they put you in their database and inform you that your relay is open. ORBS then gives this database to ISP's around the world. If someone from that ISP tries to send mail to anyone on your server the ISP will see that you are on the database and deny that mail from getting to you. No if, ands, or buts, the mail just drops off the net. ORBS had previously blocked some of the servers on our network in the past! From mail traffic. We have removed these servers and we are working with ORBS to keep the rest of the servers from getting in the ORBS database list. As you can see by now that if your server is put on the list you will slowly loose every piece of email. That is why we have had to close Mail-Relay for the server. Therefore this is actually a feature that we have to offer.

In general it is best to use your ISP's SMTP server and if you do not need your own SMTP server you should use your ISP's outgoing mail server(SMTP) in place of your domain's.

15. Is possible to change my pop3 email password from the Eudora's "change password" option? - Top

No, you must do this via your online control panel.

Click on the Autoresponders link in the Mail area.

Click on the Add Autoresponder link.

Enter the address of the account that the autoresponder responds to in the Email field.

Enter your name or address in the From field. You do not have to put anything in this field.

Enter the subject line of the autoresponder in the Subject field.

Click on the required character set for this autoresponder from the Character Set drop-down list, if required.

Click on the HTML Message tick box if you want to include HTML code in the autoresponder.

Enter the autoresponder message in the Body field. You can not use HTML code in this field - plain text only.

Click on the Create button.

17. How many response can you set your auto resonder to ? - Top

Our autoresponders send out your message ONE TIME.

18. I cannot get my email autoresponder to work? - Top

Ok, please try a couple of things BEFORE contacting tech support

1. Please try renaming the autoresponder. Sometimes, the system for one reason or another just does not like an autoresponder name and changing it slightly can fix it :)

2. Make sure you give it at least 15 minutes. It can take the system up to 15 minutes to update your autoresponder changes... so please dont give up after 30 seconds.

3. Make sure you are not redirecting your autoresponder to another autoresponder. This is very dangerous and can harm the server.
